A narrow, twisting road weaves through the valley, a thin stream of black-top separating fields, trees and rivers. The the clouds and sky are reflected in the polished paint and chrome, providing a kaleidoscope effect against the golds and greens of the valley. The road swings up to run right along the ridge-crest and other motorcars in British green, Italian red and German silver are visible as they negotiate the near-by roads. The snarl of a vintage DOHC six cylinder merges with the cat-like howl of a four-cam V12. Washington's Olympic Peninsula was once again the playground of the 1998 BMW Seattle Classic Motorcar Rally. The Victorian splendor of Port Townsend provided a home-base for the
BMW Seattle Classic Motorcar Rally. Manresa Castle, built as a European
chateau and home to business magnet and later, Jesuit priests, offered unique
accommodations for rally participants.
