Applicant Criteria - NOTE: This scholarship is now directed specifically to returning, adult students Applicants for the Walter H. Meyer - Garry L. White, Memorial Educational Fund (MEF) must: 1. Be attending or prepared to attend a 2 or 4 year public or private university, at the graduate or undergraduate level, in the United States, Canada or Europe 2. If attending at the undergraduate level, applicant must be over the age of 24. If attending at the graduate level, applicant must be over the age of 30. 3. Have demonstrated financial need 4. Be a resident of Washington State Applicants must provide the following documentation to the MEF Scholarship Committee, POSTMARKED BY: March 1st (new deadline). 1. A completed MEF application, including essay, and no more than 2 letters of recommendation. 2. An official transcript from the college the student is currently attending or if not currently in school, an official transcript from the last school they attended 3. A copy of a completed, current Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or FAFSA Student Aid Report (SAR) Award amounts are not yet set for 2009. Applicants will be notified after April 15th. Copies of this application may be duplicated for distribution to other interested students.
